Anthony J. Mollura, M.D., received his medical degree from the University of Rome School of Medicine and Surgery in Rome, Italy. He worked with the United Nations World Food Program in Beijing, China, for one year before serving his surgical subspecialty residency at Mount Sinai Hospital in New York City. He served his medical residency at the State University of New York in Stony Brook.
Anthony J. Mollura, M.D., is a member of the International Society of Hair Restoration Surgery, and the American Academy of Family Physicians. He received the 2001 International Archimedes Award for excellence in the field of Hair Restoration Surgery from the Italian Society of Hair Restoration and holds the honor of being one of five international members to be appointed to the Ad-Hoc committee of the International Society of Hair Restoration to investigate the safety of artificial hair fibers for use in hair restoration surgery. He also is on the Bi-Laws committee of the International Society of Hair Restoration, and the ad-hoc committee for the Board Certification of Hair Restoration Surgeons.
Dr. Mollura specializes in hair loss and hair restoration surgery and has been in the field for over 10 years with over 20 years of surgical experience. He is the Medical Director of Pro Hair Medical in Manhattan, N.Y..
Dr. Mollura's research interests are the refinement and advancement of hair restoration surgical techniques and instrumentation.
